Why do you hate Islam?
I do not hate Islam nor Muslims. I believe that all ideas and ideologies must be examined. Whatever that is good and beneficial to humanity aught to be kept and the negative aspects aught to be discarded. As an individual that is hungry for knowledge about the universe that we live in, I thought that I had found the ultimate truth in Christianity. I spent eight years as a devout Christian. But after a close and unbiased examination I lost my faith. I came to the conclusion that either God does not exist or he is definitely not the God of the monotheistic religions. The other Gods are even lot more less likely to exists. I personally love the Muslim people passionately. I feel very sorry for them because their Imams and clerics simply dictate to them and they follow it blindly. Very few Muslims have done actual
Non-biased research into their faith.
Is there any book on Islam that you recommend?
One of the most critical and yet respectful book on Islam that I have come across 23 Years by Ali Dashti. I do not recommend books by Robert Spencer since he is a religiously motivated individual. All books on Islam written by Modern Christian apologists have a political agenda behind them.
Why are you an Atheist?
Atheism really does not say what I believe in. Rather it says what I do not believe in, which is the supernatural. I am curious human being so I am interested in the exchanging of ideas and debate.
What is your ideal world?
My ideal world is where every human being is as free as possible. A world where people are not discriminated based on their identity. Be it ethnic identity, religious identity or sexual identity. A world where everybody has access to education, food, shelter and healthcare. A world where all ideas are freely exchanged without threat of violence. A world that is free off all dangerous weapons.
